Synopsis:

As the global war on terror grinds on in Afghanistan and Iraq and takes its toll on local economies, a defiant group of survivalists eke out a deadly living by scavenging the kill zones of a US military bombing range near the California/Mexico border. Driven by adrenaline and hunger, Crystal Meth and scripture, these gritty opportunists dodge fighter jets, attack helicopters, Marines artillery units, Navy Seals, ICE, Sheriff and Border Patrol agents, across merciless terrain, to load their Mad Max rigs with lucrative military detritus without breaking down, blowing up or getting busted. Aluminum, brass and copper from exploded and unexploded 500 and 1000 pounders, Cluster bombs and incendiary rounds is their manna from heaven. The viewer rides shotgun into a bizarre free-enterprise zone of extreme survival, where the warfare and welfare states bitterly collide and the American dream is put through a trial by fire.

War Story:

You’re driving across a crater-riddled runway, shaped like a huge X, where fighter jets practice dropping bombs. Your guide is a very shady scrapper high on meth. As you reach the middle of the X burried shrapnel slashes your tires to ribbons. You’re a sitting duck in the bull’s eye. That was day one.
